The physical mushaf of this al-Quraan has been verified as original and authentic by Malaysian Ministry of Home Affairs.

Al-Quraan is the word of Allah and has been dictated to Prophet Muhammad through Gabriel in Arabic. The root word for “Quraan” is Iqr’a (read, in Arabic). Al-Quran literally means the recitation. The word of al-Quraan also means reading, with understanding and learning.

Al-Quraan, which was revealed during a 23-year period in Prophet Muhammad’s lifetime, were originally written on various pieces of materials such as animal skins. Two decades later, these artifacts were assembled into one volume under the instruction of the third caliph, Uthman ibn Affan, and this collection has formed the basis of all written copies of al-Quraan to the present day.
